upgraded to windows 8.1 now cant play movies to xbox

I have been running Windows 8 for some time and used the "Play To" option to play all MP4 movies and tv series to my xbox 360 with no issues, recently i upgraded to windows 8.1 and nothing has worked since.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a way to fix it.
