Solved Options Missing from Power Options Advanced Settings

I went into my power options to change some of the advanced settings and most of them are missing? I am on windows 8.1 with a week old Surface Pro 3. I want to say I read somewhere that hyper-v can cause options to be missing, but I honestly don't even know what that is and I don't have it installed.

Yep, but I'll need to know which specific ones you wanted.

There's quite a few available. If you could post a list of specific options you want restored, that would help make it easier for me.

Awesome Brink. Thank you so much. That processor one was the main one I still needed. If I think of more, I will let you know.

Brink, you're a champ, really, made my day!

I wonder if you have an idea how I could get back the battery time estimation when I mouse-over the battery icon in the notification area?! My Surface Pro 1 told me something like " 66% 2h 35 min", the Surface Pro 3 only "66%". Ho could they kill such a feature??

Ralph.

Hello Ralph, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Yeah, I've never figured out what made that different, and why/when it sometimes only shows a percentage instead of both.

Hello Inuyasha, and welcome to Eight Forums.

Here's a tutorial below to remove "Internet Explorer" from Power Options.

http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/3097-power-options-add-remove-internet-explorer-windows.html

It would be pointless to remove "Power buttons and lid" in the advanced settings though since it would still be available in the "Choose what the power button does" and "Choose what closing the lid does" links in Power Options.

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn
