Is this a normal amount of partitions?

So my computer likes to crash normally or stop playing any sounds, so I wanted to back it up and then factory reset it and see if it fixes both problems. I downloaded macrium and saw a lot of partitions and I'm wondering if it seems weird and which ones, if not all, I should choose to back up.

Best thing would be to backup whole Disk_0 but that would require an external disk of appropriate size.

Many PC vendors partition the hard drive and include recovery partitions. However, you don't really want to backup data to another partition on the same hard drive. If the hard drive fails, ALL is lost and the recovery partition does you no good.

As Mike notes, backup the entire drive (all partitions) to a separate drive, either an external USB connected drive or a second internal drive.

4 recovery partitions is not normal. I wonder how those came about.

Yes.

300 MB (EFI System Partition) - Bootloader, drivers used by firmware at boot time, etc.

600 MB (Recovery Partition) – This partition contains Windows Recovery Environment tools and utilities, allowing the user to repair problems that affect the system drive.

20 GB (Recovery Partition) - This partition contains the recovery image that would be restored to the system drive if the Refresh or Reset option in Windows 8 is used.

350/450 MB (Recovery Partition) - link

The 350 and 450 MB partitions were added during the update to Windows 8.1. The 350 MB was added during one update, and the more recent 450 MB was added after a Reset during the second update.
