Updates cannot be installed (also 2 more problems)

Hello there

My computer is messed up a bit, and i can't find any solution for these problems by myself, so i decided to request help here, hoping someone can.

So my first problem is that i cant install any update from Windows Update nor ones that i tried to install manually. Usually i have Windows Update turned off completely, but now the Visual Studio setup installed one or more updates with itself. I have restarted the computer, as it requested, but i keep getting the "Failure configuring Windows updates, Reverting changes" error. The same with Windows 8.1 Update 1, so i think i can't install any update at all.

My second problem is that i can't change my desktop colors to predefined ones. When i open colorization screen, i got an error and there are only the sliders shown.
(Error in the Personalisation settings: An error occurred while loading a predefined color)

And then when i click Close, i get a blank white page instead of colorization options. It only occurs when the theme is configured to use automatic colorization, otherwise i still get the error but i can use sliders to adjust the color options without the predefined ones.

Also, i have a major problem: i'm not able to put my computer in Sleep mode or use Shutdown. Using Sleep will cause my monitor turned off and the windows puts me on login screen, but i can hear the computer working, so it's not in "deep sleep" or how is it called. Using Shutdown also causes this. And yeah, i tried Google, but i wasn't able to find anything useful

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance :)

Hi, thanks for your answer.
It seems one of the updates is not failed to install besides Windows reverted the changes.
The troubleshooting doesn't helped me out really.. Everything is ok with the network connection, also i tried to install Update 1 manually, but i got changes reverted again after the computer restarted itself.

Also, i don't really have system modifications which could block the install or something, or at least i don't know about them.

E: sorry, didn't read your comment carefully. I try the command you wrote and report what happens

Okay guys, i'm back, thanks for all the tips.

I ran the command, it fixed the corrupted file, i restarted the system and now i was able to install updates from windows update (i was not until now, forgot to mention). I tried to install some earlier updates to make sure it won't be a problem. Unfortunately, the same thing happened again, but now i got the 0x800f0922 error code instead of the 0x80073712, so i guess it's a progress though...

As you can see above, one of the updates were installed successfully (KB2975061), and i also managed to install my video card driver update what was successfull too.

I hope someone can help me out :)

Back again.

I've managed to solve the problem via increasing the 350mb partition that was reserverd for the system. I also had to install another Windows replacing my old OpenSUSE install, because after resizing the partition, i wasn't able to go in the grub (reinstalling linux also didn't work, only with windows).
Anyways, thanks for your help guys, my system is now also able to sleep properly, but my colorization options still seem to be corrupted tho...
