    Not entirely sure; it just seems that a bunch of metro apps are looking for location and I'm wondering whether that's determined by some Windows 8 setting I'm overlooking *or* whether it's going to use my ISP location.

    Hello Jay,

    I believe it woud be your Location Settings from within the Control Panel like in Windows 7 in the tutorial below for this. However, it doesn't look like it's complete in Windows 8 yet.

So... I have this weather app that will only find my location by... well, finding it. You can't add it. I told windows it shouldn't give my location to apps. I want to review that setting, but it's somehow greyed out. Any idea's on this one?

I would like to change the location setting of my system. The reason is that Windows 8 will assume the location of my provider which is some 100 kms away from where I live and I would like to set it to my actual location. I know how to switch location on or off but not how to change the location....
