hi, I installed a fresh new copy of windows 8.1 pro x64 on my laptop (hp pavilion dv6-3112ee core i3)
the installation went fine but after 30 minutes my laptop started random restarts, I tried restore and start up diagnostics and I even re installed it again I had a windows 7 ultimate x64 and it was working fine.

And I even installed windows 8.1 enterprise but still the same problem I really like windows 8.1 but I need help to use it, any ideas?

hello and welcome to eightforums, i will assume its a drivers issue ,I searched HP for drivers and all they offer on the sites i ended up at are win7 32 and 64 bit drivers nothing for win8 ,so unstill they created some you might have to do a really good search for win8 device drivers or stick with win7

no I have the drivers for 8.1 but I think that when I install the graphics driver the screen flashes 3-4 times and then it restarts and I even tried to disable the graphic card but it didn't work I have ATI Mobility readon 5470 and the only driver available is 5xxx Beta for windows 8.1 x64

Is the CPU overheating? Have you cleaned the heatsink recently?
