Solved Ghost on screen

Today an apparition appeared on my screen.
I have a Gateway PC.
Not a laptop.
The thing looks like a battery.
Could someone explain what it is ?

I went to Gateway Support & they wanted $38 to help me.

Since this ghost looks like a battery, I could assume it is saying something about the CMOS battery.

My clock is keeping good time.

No error messages on restart.

I may buy a new battery & install it if no one here can shed some light on the subject.

What happens if you press <F5> or right click on desktop->Refresh. Does it still show ?

1. Since you use Stardock Windows Blind then check if they have an option to clear the cache.
2. Look at your display properties if the refresh rate is set correctly
3. Perform disk cleanup and delete all the thumb nails, reboot to see if it goes away.

The time was good.

I restarted & it was gone.

Strange indeed ... anyway should I encounter a ghost.. I know who I'm gonna call....
