Solved How to use input method independently in various windows?

Hi,

I am using WIN8 and get a annoying problem. The Input method can be swith by type "ALT+SHIFT" combination, but this is just only change the default Input method, then every app you openned got this "INput method " . This is different from WIN7 and I think this is not a good change.

Can anyone tell me how to fix it ? Or Is there no solution?

Hi Luozhibin, welcome to the Eight Forums.

Open the Language Preferences, click Advanced settings:


Choose the default input language from the list:


Enable using different input language in every app:


Click Save to save your settings.

Now you can select an input language independently in every application. Switching between applications automatically switches to input language you have selected for that app, and to default input language when desktop is active.
