Solved 6 Problems with windows 8.1

Hello,

first sorry for my bad English. I have problems with windows 8.1 and it really annoying me.

1) I can't change lock screen picture. It freezing for 2-3 seconds when I'm trying to change it and nothing happened.

2) I can't browser files from metro apps. It crash and restart.

3) Picture password doesn't work with me. The windows freeze.

4) Facebook app disappeared and if I try to install it. It disappear again.

5) Task manager sometimes freezes for 6-7 seconds when I close it.


6) Randomly when I am using the PC, it will blue screen with usually the following error : Driver_IRQL_Not_Less_or_Equal

5) Check if: View - Update speed - is set to Normal.

6) cFosSpeed's driver is causing conflict. What kind of security software do you use? Your system is also trying to stop Windows Defender, if you have another AV, turn it off manually. It might be the cause.

I use Avira internet security. windows defender is turned off and I get this window when I'm trying to run it.

I've tried everything above except system restore and refresh windows and couldn't resolve anything


Try to add C:\Windows\system32\DRIVERS\cfosspeed6.sys to Avira's exception (AV, firewall and etc)

How to add an exception for a blocked application

Otherwise, you will either have to get rid of Avira or cFosSpeed.

By the way, the newest driver for your graphic card: NVIDIA DRIVERS GeForce 337.88 Driver WHQL

Probably a driver's issue as well, since you have an onboard VGA and 8.1 is different from 8.0.
Try to update all your drivers, especially INF driver, Intel Management Engine and VGA driver (Intel).
