Odd problem when setting default option for image files

I went to go set photoshop as the default for opening a jpeg, and I noticed this weird option on the list that says %1. I don't know how to get rid of it it is very annoying. I tried cleaning the registry with CCleaner and removing "%1;" from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileAssociation. Nothing has worked so far, I'm stumped. What the hell is %1 anyway?

you could try the registry cleaning section of Ccleaner it might remove that dead entry .
its a safe program when used correctly, I have been using it for years now with no issues .
CCleaner - PC Optimization and Cleaning - Free Download
Did you read the original post?
not close enough I guess, lol
and I just read it 3 times ,and cant imagine why that being there would be an annoyance, but that's just me ,did you use the cleaner section of ccleaner as well with no results ,I will look around for a fix and post it if I find one ,good luck

Only other problem now is that I can't use After Effects without Quicktime
so the choice should be easy if you want to use After Affects ,or be bothered by a icon in defaults ,that's not causing any issues
