This operating system was designed for people without brains. It assumes I don't need access to my own file system, it assumes I need graphic indications about how to access programs, and it assumes that I do not wish to multitask.
Luckily, those of us who have brains understand that if we do not like the look and feel of the new Windows Store Apps, we can bypass them and Start Screen and never see them again.
Multitasking works of course with both Store Apps and traditional desktop programs. Some simple examples:
Multitasking with several apps open at the same time:
(From left to right: News, Mail and Twitter Apps.)
Multitasking with full screen apps:
(Please notice my Taskbar is located at left instead of default location at bottom, the view on your display might look different.)
This operating system is a cop out to the new generations of moronic tweens that can't focus long enough to create email accounts, and must simply LOG IN VIA FACEBOOK. It is the anti-efficiency, it is a terrible attempt from Microsoft to reinvent itself into something it THINKS PC users want, it will be the downfall of the PC.
Again, those with brain know they can setup Windows 8 with a traditional local account, exactly as in Windows XP, Vista or Seven. If the user selects to use a so called Microsoft Account, it must be a real email account; you cannot sign to Windows using Facebook credentials although you can of course select to use the same email address you are using for Facebook.
This forum is not filled with bug reports (because you can't even get that far, LOL!) it is filled with requests from people just wanting this piece of crap operating system to work, to be logical, and to be worthy of the Windows name.
All tech / IT forums have a lot of crash related threads, Windows Eight Forums is not an exception. However, one reason the percentage of crash reports and threads here at the EF is lower than for instance on our sister forum The Seven Forums is that Windows 8 does not crash so often.
I seriously hope it burns in hell.
If we assume that Hell actually exists and the reasons to end up there were the ones told to us, I'm sorry to inform you that abstract things like thoughts and software would be excluded in any case.
PS: Nice job renaming "Programs", "Apps", because that makes sense... right? Idiots.
Nothing has been renamed. Calling them Programs and Apps helps us consumers to understand the difference (understanding something once again requires brains). To tell it in a way I really hope confuses you even more, let's say that the traditional Desktop Apps are called Programs and new Windows Store Programs are called Apps.
