You will still see this screen though since the account is being signed in to. I'm not sure it can be removed.

It can be changed to have a different background. But it can never be removed, nor can the size of the icon be decreased.

That screen will show for both a Microsoft and local account since both sign in.

I don't get the 'Welcome' screen but I think there are a bunch of contributing factors:
- Local Account
- No Password
- Don't require a Password in Power Options and netplwiz (maybe)
- Turn on fast startup in Power Options
- and, I think it only works on a fresh boot from hiber-shutdown
other possibilities:
- only user on this machine
- boot straight to desktop

Greets :)

Yeah, assume It's a splash screen whilst specific user settings are being set...
I also don't like the blandness of blue and white ... so the background can be changed? I have changed lock-screen already..

Anyway would much rather have a cached Start/Desktop screen display whilst setting up the user account... the rolling balls are a given I know - but it would be a nice customisation :)

Here's an example where all my screens share a common theme:

Was referring to the possibility of a change to a graphical background ...

Thanks;

I'm sooo close figuring it out!

If anyone wants to interject and shed some insight to this 'dilemma', feel free to comment! :)

I learned through various sources that I was supposed to open the iso installation files and go to the 'sources' folder and change the 'background_cli.bmp' file to the desired image providing the new file was identical in size, name, resolution and bit depth:

View attachment 44803

then do the same with the dll:

View attachment 44804

but, after 'throwing' it on a new partition, it didn't work! :(
Out of ideas!
(maybe the dll had to be 32 bit!?)
