Caps lock light flashing

Hello.

The caps lock light on my HP Pavilion G6-2356sa is flashing. The button still puts the letters in capitals, so it still works, just continually flashing. It's just stopped flashing actually.

Anyway, I've had a Google and all the results I've found say it has a black screen at the same time. Mine doesn't have a black screen, though it did a few months ago, made a thread here.

I'm not sure this is a good sign.

Thanks in advance for help.

Thanks for the help, I'll do regular backups, I should have been anyway after learning my lesson a few years ago, lost all my work in the last few weeks of school. :(
Battery passed the test.
Luckily the laptop is still under warranty, so it can just go back if it breaks.

Forgot about this, so I'm sorry for not replying.

It seems to have fixed itself, when it flashed for 10 minutes without stopping it actually carried on for the whole weekend and on that weekend I was at my dad's, where I don't have a desk so I was using it on the bed, not a good idea I know. Wonder if that may have been a cause?

I've noticed it's a bit laggy. For example when I am adjusting the volume using the audio buttons it does nothing for a few seconds and then jumps up, same when lowering volume, doesn't happen everytime but regular enough to be annoying. It's installing an update at the moment, that might help there.

I am hoping this is not going to reoccur but obviously I'll be keeping my eye on it.

Again I'm sorry for not replying. I have been very busy, last week of college now.

Don't sweat it, we are here to help not to pass judgment. At the least the lights are no longer flashing and that's what counts.
Keep an eye on the new laggy problem and if it continues, create a new thread.

BTW. Good luck on your exams, I hope you pass.
