How to know which version of windows I have?

I have an installation file of windows 8.I downloaded, its name "Windows 8".I want to know which version of windows 8?(windows 8, windows 8 pro, windows 8.1 or windows 8.1 pro).I want to find product key before installing it.thank you!

You could start loading it into a virtual machine and the EULA page will come up and tell you what version (8.0 or 8.1).

Usually Standard and Professional editions of Windows are the same on the installer. It's the key that you supply that determines whether you get Standard or Professional.

The product key is not on the disk, unless you have some sort of hacked copy of Windows 8. If you do, I'd suggest not using it.
