In these hard times where we are all scrambling to find our bearings, All Tasks may be helpful. In case you do not have it any more, here it is:

shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Just paste it into any Explorer adress bar and hit Enter. You get access to most system functions And can make shortcuts (right click).

It's not the same, no, but it gives you pretty much everything you need.

You're fighting too hard to make it like the old OS, I think. I can honestly say I've NEVER used that feature in Win7 (and I'm a developer and tech person). Between search and all apps and admin tools, you should have everything you need.

pmbAustin, how do you know what I need. I am glad to see a 'developer' on the forum. Maybe I can learn something. I (only) spent 35 years developing Operating Systems for large systems. But there are always new things to be learned.

It looks similar to Godmode, but here's more options :)

    Look, what i've created... just a few visits at the recyclement center was enough...
WHS, I'm just asking WHY you need that... I'm genuinely curious. What task is it you are trying to perform where you need to use all those "Shell" tricks? I've been aware of the tricks for a long time, and every time I've seen them I've thought "Oh, that's cool..." and then never used them again because I couldn't figure out the need. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I'm just genuinely curious. I've always found the "standard" ways of accessing the features to be sufficient given how rarely I need most of those things.

But it doesn't surprise me that all these tricks still work.
