Error Message xpvga.dll

Hello,

I am running a laptop with Windows 8.1. Every time I start the laptop up, I get an error message pop up which says RunDDL error and the specified module windows\SysWOW64\xpvga.dll has not been found.

I have tried Googling this file name and got nowhere.

Does anyone know what this message means and more importantly, how to stop it from keep coming up?

It has been coming up for quite a few months, I am suspecting it may have something to do with Windows 8.1, as this laptop was originally set up with Windows 8 and I didn't get this message.

I would recommend to run a sfc /scannow command to see if it may be able to repair the corrupted system file.

I used the System File Checker which said it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. I have attached the log. I can't find the missing file in there.

In that case, go ahead and do what's listed in the blue note box under step 3 in OPTION TWO to see if it will allow SFC to repair the files afterwards. I would recommend to run the DISM command.
