8.1 update 1, taskbar inconsistently appearing in ModernUI

Hi,

I just installed all the updates contained in 8.1 update 1. I like the way the taskbar pops up in Modern UI, but it seems inconsistent.
If I use the 'Start button' to switch to the Store, and I keep the mouse on the taskbar, the taskbar stays. If I move off it, it disappears. If I move the mouse back to the bottom of the screen, the majority of the time nothing happens. If I wiggle the mouse around at the bottom of the screen, after a while the taskbar appears. Sometimes, when I move off the taskbar, it doesn't disappear immediately.

Am I doing it wrong?

Thanks, that certainly works.

I think I've worked out how to do it with the mouse. If I move the mouse cursor to the bottom of the screen, nothing happens. If I continue in a downwards movement for a certain distance, and at a certain minimum speed, it always pops up the taskbar. The problem is, that distance is too far for comfort.
It isn't at all like how the taskbar behaves on the desktop with 'auto-hide' on.

Is this how it's supposed to be?

not sure that its suppose to be that way but that's the way mine behaves also .
If I just slowly move my mouse to the bottom nothing happens ,if I push the mouse quickly down all the way it pops up ,so I'm all right with that I guess, don't use metro that much anyway
