Dear Friends.,

I want to know whether is it able to run windows 8 on intel d101ggc smoothly?My Processor is Pentium 4 3.06Ghz and RAM is 1.5GB with 40gb+1tb hdd(both SATA). I want urs Review.

I had difficulty even running Linux on a P4. OTOH, it hurts nothing to try.

No you should not have any issues. 8.1.1 is supposed to relax some resource issues. Personally I would stick with Windows 7. Most likely you should be able to run the 64 bit version. If you run CPU-ID. It will probably show that your CPU is capable of 64-bit.

These are the CPU's it is capable of using. Intel® Desktop Board D101GGC — Supported processors The D950 is a Dual core CPU. I would see about getting that CPU if your motherboard meets the Spec's, before doing any upgrading with the OS.
