kinda too long for the title but,
in certain conditions i will get I/O errors or Access Denied doing file Write operations (application installations, game patches hell i cannot even get a donation tracker to work[read/write fails on certain text files]) unless said Application/installer/etc is Run thru a command prompt that was opened as an administrator.
Yes my main User profile is set as an admin but feels like it still has certain permissions locked.
for example, the Final Fantasy VII game converter (converts the square enix 2012 vers or the steam vers to be compatible with ff7 pc 1.02 mods.) will encounter alot of Access Denied errors on file copy/overwrite/file patch if run as is for me. but if i run it thru a command propmt as an admin [open cmd.exe as admin] it works fine while running the converter "as Admin" still fails.
my Donation tracker i use on my twitch channel, if its run from my desktop or root of the c drive.. fails on access to topdonator and recent donator.txt [it lists on OBS/Xsplit via when a donation comes in it saves it to the text file and the broadcasters read/display the donations by constantly displaying the content of those text files.] but it works if from my documents folder or from any other drive.
im starting to get tired of these issues and debating going back to Windows 7, but i am enjoying the small system performance increase with 8.1, any help in fixing this annoying issue would be greatly appreciated.
