Can't Un-merge File Explorer Libraries

Hello everyone! I hope you notice this post and kindly help me out.

I am moving my windows 8.1 libraries from C: to D:. I tried to move Documents to the root folder of D: which is empty during that time. It asked me if I want to move also my files to D:, I moved it. So, the next thing I did was also to move Pictures at the root folder of D: also. Then it prompted if I want to merge these to libraries, I hit yes. Now the problem is that I can't un-merge it anymore. Whatever I put in my 'Documents' lib also appears in 'Pictures' and vice versa. I tried to explore solutions like changing properties, well at first it will change but it reverts to one library again though they appear differently as 'Documents' and 'Pictures' libs.

I decided to restore default setting of these two libraries, but nothing happened. In 'Documents' library, the location is C:\Users\Ideapad\Documents and upon checking the location of 'Pictures' library its C:\Users\Ideapad\Documents also. When I change the location of 'Picture' library to C:\Users\Ideapad\Pictures, the 'Documents' library also changes to C:\Users\Ideapad\Pictures.

I can't really figure this one out. Please help me.
Thanks!

A better option would have been to create a Documents folder and a Pictures folder in the route of your D drive. Then move those libraries to those respective folders. When you use the Move option it doesn't create any folders it will only use what is already there. It surprised me the first time I tried it. I'm still looking into the merge problem, if I find anything out I'll post back again.

-Well, that's what I should have done first. All I thought was when I moved 'Documents' to the root folder of D: it will automatically make a folder on its own same with 'Pictures', sadly it didn't. And when I moved 'Pictures' to the root folder of D:, it said if I want to merge these two folders, since I was moving so quick and thought that I can un-merge it anytime, I hit yes. I tried to move 'Documents' and 'Pictures' to C: again but these two libs are merged as one. Now, the problem is I can't un-merge it! :(

If you get really stuck you could always remove that merged library and then create two new ones. Libraries - Add or Remove from This PC in Windows 8.1

-I tried this, but nothing happened! There's no remove option under 'Documents' and 'Pictures' libraries of 'This PC'. T-T

adamf: Here's the screenshot of the location of 'Pictures' library.

The same thing happened to me the first time I tried moving a folder. I assumed it would actually MOVE the folder but it just moved the contents. I had only done my Documents so it wasn't a big deal. I regrouped and created all the needed folders and then had another go. I should have looked at the tutorial I linked to a bit closer. It looks like all it does is remove "Libraries" from the "This PC" view, sorry about that I'll have another look for something better.

OK, on my Windows 8.1 PC, if I go to This PC, on the left there is a Libraries folder. If you select a Library under that it will show you what folders are included in that Library. You can then remove the included folder without removing the library. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/13048-library-remove-folder-windows-8-a.html Then create your folder and add it back in. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/12954-library-add-folder-windows-8-a.html I'd do the remove on the Documents and Pictures libraries before adding one back in.
