Is there a way to get explorer columns with large icons?

Hello, does anyone know if it's possible to have the file explorer columns visible with large icons/extra large icons? Like in Windows 7>

hello and welcome to eight forums .I cant see the top of you explorer window ,but it should look like mine ,and in view you choose icon size ,im using win8.1 enterprise ,but its there in win8.1 core and pro editions .

Just right click anywhere in the columns and you will have a context menu to allow you to change the display of the data in the Window. No need to click on the tab above to change.

Sure, you have to show the ribbon and then go into the View tab. There are the settings.

Yea, but is there any way to always have them visible? So i don't have to right click/press view and then sort by.

I'm using a touchscreen, so i would like to have things as easily accessible as possible.

Once you set them to e.g. large icons, that should stay. Another possibility is to go into the folder properties > Customize tab and set the folder to 'Pictures' (include the subfolders - check the little box). Then you always get icons.

Thanks, but I don't thing you get what I'm asking for. I want the sort by date/size/name columns (above the files but below the "Windows 8 ribbon") to be visible even when I have the folder set to show large icons(video, pictures)! Is there like a registry hack or tweak program that can fix this that any one know of?

Nope. It is one way or the other. There may be some third party add-on available for what you are wanting to do.
