how to DBAN windows 8.1 home

I'm trying to DBAN windows 8.1 for 8.1 enterprise but the software won't even let me get to my boot menu so I can DBAN and then install enterprise. I have a samsung series 7 chronos and I Want To install kali linux via virtual box but there's no hyper v on this edition of 8.1.

    Can anybody help?

    Thank You

why not just create another partition on the harddrive and duel boot enterprise.

check link on how to shrink volume and create a partition to install duel boot

I actually have never liked DBAN myself.

This is all I ever use when decommissioning or re-purposing HDD's
CMRR - Center for Magnetic Recording Research
This uses the Secure Erase Bit that is present in all Drives
Kingston recommends using HDDErase as well, even for SSD's

DBAN doesn't do this to the best of my knowledge.
This is the ONLY tool that really uses the SE on the drive itself, for free anyway.
There are Security Shredding Appliances that do use it, but they are very expensive.

EDIT: This software, as far as I can remember is about the only one that you can use and actually apply a Certified Clean statement to.

Thanks for the reply fellas but what do I do about my problem accessing the boot menu? Like I said I have a Samsung series 7 chronos laptop and every since I've had 8.1 I haven't been able to access the bios/boot menu. How do I fix this? I've pressed every function key available and none of them work.

How Windows 8 is performing in home/home office operation
Just My opinion.. Windows in the Win8 version is not suited for home use any longer. It is overly complex, and, even for experienced Windows users, it is counter intuitive in many areas. I think Windows 8 has taken complexity “one bridge too far” for ordinary users. This comment by me, a MSEE...
