Right click on the "Desktop" icon and choose "properties"
in the "Icon" tab at the top of the popup box, what does it say in the "Target" box?
Try this
Go to C:/users/windows/
Drag the desktop folder on the right to the "Favorites"
in the "Icon" tab at the top of the popup box, what does it say in the "Target" box?
Try this
Go to C:/users/windows/
Drag the desktop folder on the right to the "Favorites"

Choose "Restore Favorite links"
