Windows 8 partitioning

In my Windows8 laptop I hava a C-drive of 421gb in which 358gb is free.As I tried to partition another disk of 300gb It was not allowing me that in shrink volume.It is allowing only 25gb to divide .What to do???

Try using Mini tool Partition Wizard should work for you and its free.

If you can, download Defraggler from Piriform, install and run it, and 'Analyze' Drive C: then post a screenshot of the results...

Those bottom 14 blocks are probably the culprits. You can click on each block to see what resides there.
You can also run the defrag, it might free you up unless your antivirus is in there and keeps the position secure, but you can try it.
(If it helps and you can shrink, don't short change your OS space)
