Hello
Can someone please help as this is seriously irritating me.
I updated to 8.1 recently and have had nothing but problems. Start up is slow, I get forced restarts due to errors, fire fox freezes, games freeze and generally the laptop is slow.
I have tried reinstalling graphics drivers and other programs but no luck. Please help

I have a toshiba satellite p750.

There are about 15 different sub models listed and none of come with Windows 8 or 8.1 so I must assume that you upgraded from Windows 7. Is that correct? Or did you first upgrade from 7 to 8 and then to 8.1? All of this is important information because I don't see any evidence that your laptop is compatible with Windows 8. In summary, it is important to have a clear understanding of how you got to 8.1 and if your laptop is inteded to support the OS you are attempting to install. Good luck in getting your issue resolved.

I'm trying to refresh but it's telling me my media is not correct. I assume it's because I have 8 media and am running 8.1.

My lap top is indeed a windows 7 model. I first upgraded to windows 8pro, but the disk I got from Amazon was a fake. Then I got normal windows 8 and upgraded. All was good and it was running without issues.
Updated to 8.1 and now my laptop is useless.

Thanks for that clarification.; however, I don't see any evidence that your laptop is supported beyond Win 7. Now, that doesn't mean it wouldn't work for Win 8 (or 8.1) but I don't see any 8 or 8.1 drivers available at the Toshiba website. Now, I apologize if I looked in the wrong place because there are many sub models of your 750 listed there. BTW, did you check to make sure your BIOS is current because many laptops require a BIOS update somewhere along the way (from 7 to 8.1). Again, thank you for the clarification. At least it makes more sense now. Maybe someone else can help you. Good luck.
