change display icon order

hello i have win 8.1 pro x64.i want to know if i can change the display order of disks icons manually.usually the c drive appears first(from left to right),second cdrom icon and next the external drives.can i change that with drag and drop?(i remember that i can do it in vista)

You could use Computer Management/Disk Management to change your drive letters. If you were to make the CD Rom D: it would appear after C: and so on ...
Remember that if your folders or installations are drive dependent you will need to reassign your settings

e.x. If I had my documents folder customized to the E: Drive and I change the E: Drive letter to G: Drive, then I would have to tell Documents folder that is where it now lives.
