    refurb/used computer. Your recommendation.

I need a refurb/used computer FOR $250 approximately. Is it possible to get an i5 or i7 ?.
Processor and bus speed are the primary considerations.
Your recommendations are highly appreciated. Thanks.

I would look for a refurb'ed Dell on eBay or Amazon. That's where I have found them in the past...

I don't think you will find something for only 250.00

the links takes me to 500.00 computer ,and ebay one was also 500.$
I too would love to get what they are looking for ,for only 250.00 , don't think so

i5 & i7's are still going to be pretty expensive as a Refurb or off lease. You did not state desktop or laptop.

$250 will not get you an i5 or i7 and it won't get you discrete video or the ability to upgrade RAM, etc...

+1 on broe23's query for more clarification. Anyhow, Here are a few that might be within your budget:

    Here's an i5 laptop refurb/off-lease for $309.99
HP ProBook 6450 14.1" Laptop Computer Refurbished - Silver 063107 - Micro Center

    Here's an i3 desktop refurb/off-lease for $299.99

That desktop PC from MicroCenter looks like a good deal and the video card can be upgraded, so it will last a little longer...

Sorry for not making clear whether desktop or laptop. I mean LAPTOP please. Processor and bus speed are my main concerns. Thanks. I appreciate your recommendations.

Forget an i5 at your budget level. Here are a couple new ones that are ballpark in your budget.

Can anyone recommend a tablet that will run W8 well? I was thinking a duo/convertible type, where it has a keyboard but the screen flips around for just tablet use, but I guess a regular slate would work fine as well.. Thanks
