I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 because Microsoft said Quickbooks Pro 2012 would work. Well, it won't!! I still can't send PDF's in an email or save a report in the PDF format. PLEASE, can someone give me things to try?

I know it's not a Metro pdf program. When I go into Quickbooks I click on all the customers statements that need to be sent out and Quickbooks attaches them as a PDF file to a cover letter and then are emailed through my Hotmail account. This has always worked with no problems what so ever until I got a new laptop which came with Windows 8. That's when the problem started. I could not email the statements and also could not save any reports in the PDF format. I do have Adobe Reader but I don't really think Quickbooks goes through it. Might be wrong on that but I'm just not sure. And Adobe Reader is up to date.

Someone will be along that can help. :)

Try using CutePDF to print to a pdf. It basically installs as a printer, then you would just have to attach the "printout", which is the pdf file. As for attaching to hotmail, you would probably be better in using a desktop program like Mozilla's Thunderbird for email, then through the Windows Live web portal, if that is how you are going into your email.
