Sometimes my monitor goes black for a second, sometimes 3-4 times, and then it locks the screen.
What could cause this?
Can this be related to security?
I have a turn monitor off shortcut, created with nircmd. Can it be related to that?
(No, it doesn’t happen when I use the shortcut, it is on the desktop. It happens, when I turn the mouse wheel sometimes).
Thanks.

What do you mean by "locks the screen?"

Does the lock screen come on or does the machine freeze (or just become unusable) and you need to hard reboot it?

Sounds like it could be a TDR issue, but we'll see about your response.

Lock screen comes on. I type the password and go on from where I left.

Wow, yeah that is unusual for sure, when actually using the machine actively.

Yes, I would suggest to uninstall nircmd and remove the desktop shortcut, to test.

NirCMD is copied into the Windows Directory. I am guessing it is just one file. I will delete the shortcut, and post the result in a couple of days. If that doesn’t help, I will delete nircmd from windows directory (Hope it is the way to uninstall it, cause I have no clue.)

So far it helped. Just removing the shortcut. I guessed that was it. Thanks.
