I've copied my account picture (taken with my laptop camera) to my photo library to use in other applications (facebook) - but they don't recognise *.accountpicture-ms as an image file . Can you advise how to convert the file please?

All you need to do is rename to file to something like MyPicture.png or MyPicture.jpg

Make sure you enable view known file extensions.

I just downloaded a .gif image & changed the extension to .jpg, .png, & .bmp.

The extensions worked.
