Google browser:

I remember with XP (i'm very new at '8') to save a photo i rec'd I would rite-click on the photo choose location (usually desktop)and it showed up, i simply clicked to open/view. I can do same thing with '8' - it's at desktop but so are other 'things' associated with the photo i.e. a file folder with things i don't recognize and don't know whether to delete and when looking at that list - try to find the JPG file but see other files with extensions i don't recognize. heeelllpppp (thanks in advance) edythe

If you cant find files you saved to DeskTop sometimes they are there but off to the side, try going to C: user desktop and see if you can find. As far as seeing files you don't recognize can you give an example? Are your folder settings view set to show hidden files and folders? Im guessing that you have checked and changed if necessary the file association to what you want. The more info you post the easier it is to find a solution, good luck.

THE FILES SHOW UP ON DESKTOP BUT THEY ARE SITTING IN A 'FOLDER' ALONG WITH OTHER PARTS OF WHATEVER ALLOWS A PICGTURE TO BE SAVED. NOTHING TO DO I THINK WITH BEING 'HIDDEN'' i'm guessing.
