Disabling useless fonts

I'm disabling some fonts via font manager (NexusFont) because there's way to many fonts I don't use and it's really annoying to scroll through every single font in PhotoShop and Illustrator. So which fonts should I not disabled? Like what are the fonts that Windows 8.1 and programs usually use?

It links to the default fonts shipped with windows 7/8 and warns on what is safe to delete.

I did experiment with the font deletion removing all what I did not plan to use however in effect none of the rest of MS fonts will print (from any app). This may be printer related though (HP). Personally I would remove all MS fonts as these are quite low quality, however I could not find a way to do font substitution (when opening docs with MS fonts) as in OpenOffice.

So you may have or not similar printing problems but if you prefer Adobe fonts (and rightly so) then only thing to do is to make sure that you are not using any remaining MS fonts for printing

As much as that was (some what) helpful, it still didn't give me a list of which fonts never to delete for an example, I should never delete Arial, Helvetica, Sans-Serif, etc.

I would keep all the standard TrueType fonts and Web Safe fonts.
