I have some columns on the Start Screen with only a couple of applications/programs in each, eg a column headed Adobe has three programs and one headed Corel has two. I want to combine these into one column to maximise the use of my screen space, (ie so that as many as possible of my applications fit on the screen to avoid scrolling to find them) but I would like a blank tile or some other type of separator in the column to separate the Adobe programs from the Corel programs. (It would be a bonus if I could put a label like "Adobe" on the blank tile.)
Is this possible?
im using win8.1,i can right click on start and I get a customise option ,when I can make change like size and name of app groups ,i cant remember if win8 had that option on a right click on start but im sure its there somewhere maybe in a link in the charms bar
One option would be to create a shortcut in say the Adobe folder and then pin it to your Start Menu. You could customize the shortcut and change the ICON to an Adobe one. I've created several custom tiles that way. Mine actually do something like Power Down etc.
Its too bad you can't put a group under a group with a space if you have room. I hate the auto shuffle grouping the way it is now.
