It was until i uploaded my rig in another forum, where a member of it noticed my Hantol PSU that triggered a discussion about that specific brand. To make a long conversation short...

Sometimes, brilliant engineers can blow your mind with what they do and why they do it.

I don't suspect foul play here.

Does the psu work very well without issue for you? That is the only criteria to go by; not some people posting on forums, including me.

No foul play? The fact that a PSU (a POWER SUPPLY Unit,i'll come back to that in a sec) was sold to me "having" an active pfc coil and instead placing some ounces of cement, gaining some weight and not providing the safety mechanism to a desktop right in front of my face,is considered a non foul play? The successful deception of selling a high-voltage unit with a cable only making a turn into that plaster,is not some people posting, its me getting deceived and exposed to any risk that this unit may enclose. Its a f...g power supply,it aint no usb stick (that was sold for 256 gigs and cant hold more than a 2 gig movie) scam.I could assume you own one of those but you dont, you will not feel how that felt when some people posted AND were right.

 that's unaceptable. And looking at the photos in the links in the 1st post, seemingly not an uncommon practice.

Being that the unit has been independently certified by 3rd party engineering companies and has the CE marking guarantees that the unit is not unsafe in any way.

Perhaps they have other models that make use of things in different ways, but use the same board etc...

There might be a valid electric reason why that blue wire curls up in there like that, such as inductance or something.

Perhaps the cement shields from interference from other components.

I don't know. One thing that's guaranteed though: No company wastes money by putting unnecessary or random things. If they were trying to get away with something, they'd probably just make the cheapest unit possible, sell it for as high as possible and be done with it.

Out of a million people buying psus, how many of them go out looking and say: "I must have one with active PFC coil" ?

Not too many I presume. So if it is a scam (possible still), rather pointless I'd say. And money-wasting. They'd then need a new CEO to cut costs and stop doing that so they can make more $$$. haha

Certified?By a lousy CE sticker? We all have seen Dr Dre's headphones and IPhones with stickers and stuff.Point is,i dont trust that thing, what if its not even a close to 600W unit but all its outputting 350Watts,i stick in my soon to come 670 and that s..t sparkles and blows up,does that make anybody feel unsafe?

If a product is conformity certified, it goes through numerous engineering tests that guarantee safety and product claims.
I used to be a project manager at uL for wire, cable and optics, and was very familiar with testing procedures in other fields. Products fail tests quite often and need tweaks before market. So, it does mean something.

Yeah, that's the same with other cheapish electrical stuff like lights for your christmas tree, USB-Chargers (it actually killed someone in oz this year: Warning over USB chargers after woman dies from apparent electrocution) etc.pp.

The labels are usually fake etc.pp. and I really wonder in which world @MasterChief is living.
