Windows store won't open properly - wtf!?

For some reason when i click on the windows store icon (on the start tiles screen or from the start 8 menu) the green screen comes up like it is loading but then it disappears back to the desktop!
I have got stardock modenrmix installed (puts windows tile apps into a window) but i went to task manager and ended all tasks and even any services i could see for it but it didn't make a difference.
Ive searched for help and found a suggestion to run a command called (something like) wsreset.exe which is supposed to reset the windows store but that didnt work either. I did ab sfc /scannow but there were no problems. I wonder if sfc checks that all windows store files are valid or not?
Any suggestions anyone?

Try running

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

in an administrator command prompt.

EDIT--- It will hang on 20% for a long time. It will all of a sudden finish.
