looking to reimplement some old w8 features

When I first got windows 8 I found that when in metro if i hit any key it instantly kicked me to search in the charm bar..

i actually really liked that and have found in updates that has been disengaged.Any way to re engaged that?

I also was a huge fan of being able to email a link of a current chrome metro page via the charms. recently that has changed so it tries to email a Screenshot of the current metro chrome page instead. any help would be very much aprecated

Search function on the Metro Start Screen still works for me?

Currently I need to now scroll over to the right till the charm bar pops up and click on the search icon, the initial release of windows 8 had it so that hitting any key on your keyboard (so long as you where in metro) started a search quary.

Hitting any key on your keyboard (so long as you where in metro) started a search query. < That's how it works for me in 8 and 8.1.

odd not for me any longer.. i have not changed anything since i upgraded to 8.1 ;/

I'm looking to see if there might be a setting for that, so far no luck.
