I was just sitting here watching Netflix on my pc with the windows netflix app, and have done countless of times before when all of a sudden the PC restarts itself no error nothing, looked for logs in event viewer nothing but one saying the shutdown was unexpected, I looked for mini dump nothing but turns out my windows 8.1 setup for DMP files nothing there ether, What could have caused this know dump files created at all.

If there are no Blue screens or dump files it must be something on hardware side, temperature or PSU. If it happened only once or rarely it's nothing catastrophic. It could be a short power blink or brownout also. You could use a program like CPUID HWmonitor to monitor temperatures and voltages.

It probably restarted because something went wrong, and your system is set to restart when there is a system failure.

Control Panel, System, Advanced Tab, Startup and Recovery, Settings, System Failure, Automatically Restart.

Good luck in figuring out a problem like that. It could be anything. The only way I've ever done it was by replacing the PC (I needed an excuse), then reinstalling the OS on the one that was giving me fits, but maybe you're more technically savvy than me ;)

I'm not wondering if i'm not stressing the power supply Dell dose some crazy things there is a pny gtx 660 TI in this thing and all they supply for it is a 330W power brick but its been running since 2012 like this, i keep arguing with dell that it has to be the power supply they said nope they built it so the power supply supply the proper voltage for the video card. Very strange indeed.

The game is probably more stress on the video card than the tech's test. The first reboot you mention you were watching a video. I'd say you could make a good case the video card is on the way out. I'd replace it while the system is still usable.
