Hi EightForums members,
i don't know if it's possible but how can I pin a *.exe program to the metro start menu that doesn't appear in the apps search?
I didn't find any information because Win8 isn't as popular as Win7 yet...
Also i'm looking for the ability to search in the whole drive for a file - such as the Win7 start menu search. The files search does only search in the user's folder.
Regards,
bloxx

Hello Bloxx, and welcome to Eight Forums.

The tutorial below can help show you how to pin a app to the Metro "Start" screen. :)

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/2352-apps-pin-unpin-metro-start-screen-windows-8-a.html

You can press the Windows Key + F to open a Search window, and you can also search in Windows Explorer the same way as in Windows 7. In Windows 8, you can also click on Search from the Start menu. To search the entire computer, you would need to select say the C: drive in the Computer window in Widows Explorer to search from.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
