I have an Asus Zenbook Infinity, and I have run into an issue that I cannot seem to solve. It came with windows 8, but I have upgraded it to windows 8.1. The problem exists with both operating systems.

Whenever the lid is shut and the computer is allowed to go to sleep for an extended period of time, the start screen scales really small upon waking up. I have attached a picture of what I mean. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, no luck. I have already tried those things. Any other suggestions? I appreciate the help as always.

As a test, create a new user account, and see if you have the same issue while signed in to it. This will rule out if it's just an issue in your original account or system wide.

I own the UX301 LA DH71, have installed Windows 8.1 and have exactly the same issue. Any solution to this yet? I'm hoping for an update from Asus :/

I own the UX301 LA, and have the same issue in Windows 8.1.
After waking up from a longer sleep, the DPI in the modern UI is changed, and everything is much smaller, but nothing changes in the classic desktop UI.
Signing out then signing in again takes things back to normal.

No solution found so far...

Current best solution for this seems to be disabling the Instant On feature of Asus's Power4Gear... not ideal, as the default power saver takes a little longer to get you back into Windows, but the scaling issue has gone for me!

Looks like this issue is specific to the UX301LA as I'm having the same problem too and have the Asus UX301LA-DH71T.

I tried disabling instant-on with no luck. The only way I've been able to get things sized back right is to log-off & log back on, or reboot.

Unfortunately if I try to go directly into the display settings to change the scaling, it tells me that I have to log-off and back on anyway.
