Local Disk C:\Windows is displayed as "WINDOWS"
This is what it looks like, is there anyway to fix this and revert it back to normal capitalisation?

Has it impacted system stability?

I got an error code from ESN (Battlefield 4 - Battelog plugin) I had to reinstall that. But other than that no, I would just like to change it back to "Windows". :)

I think you could do this by booting using a recovery CD into the command prompt then renaming using

ren WINDOWS win

then

ren win Windows

But you could always boot using a linux distro DVD (I like Mint personally) , don't install it , just run it from the DVD and rename the folder using the GUI folder rename there.

Would that work if I entered advanced boot options and settings through Windows 8 - PC Settings, General, Advanced Start-up ?

EDIT: I know there is a cmd prompt in the settings.

I'm not sure , depends if doing that locks some of the files due to them being loaded in on boot up....you could try, worst case , it refuses.
