Hi there.

Although I don't use the metro screen very often I sometimes use the Apps screen in W8.1 -- the Languages of some of the APPS tiles don't change after you've switched a language say back to English -- having changed all the settings back to display say in English again.

For example switching back from ISL to ENG you can see a load of the tiles haven't changed back to ENG.
Cheers

Hello Jimbo,

Double check to see if you have allowed apps to use your "location" and access your "name, picture, and other account info" to see if that may be the issue.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi there

Thanks - - took me a little while before I could test this on the problem computer but it didn't do the trick I'm afraid - even after a total re-boot--- It's nice being able to switch languages etc - but it should be possible to revert back to the base installed language - especially if you do travel a lot and need to use displays in different languages -- I don't think I want to have several sets of Windows depending on where I am. !!!

I think there is a problem here (similarly where if you add an input language (keyboard) you can't remove it again !! - that was another thread).

There's also another problem with this approach too -- just because you are in location XXXX doesn't always mean you need the tiles to use language YYYY.

It's only the Ms installed default METRO apps that seem to have this problem.

User standard Desktop install applications are just fine. I don't bother with Metro stuff anyway but it does seem strange that without a total system restore to before the time you added the second language you can't revert back to the original. !!.

Cheers
