How can I get my webcam to take a pic when the computer is unlocked. I live in a frat house and someone has been using my computer. I want to know who. I know the task scheduler has a trigger of "when computer is unlocked" how can I make use of that? Or is there a fancy script someone knows how to write?

Why not just require a password to use it ?

Or

Put it in a box & put a padlock on it ?

I assume you are in college.
I assume the college has computer classes.
Said classes have teachers.

You could ask a staff member in the computer department for help.

Or wait for someone here to come up with a solution.

There are Programs you can buy that do this - There are some free ones too - YawCam is one, just have to twiddle with it to see if it will do what you want.

I have an App in my iPhone that will take a pic of whoever steals it when they try to unlock it, and it emails me the pic. But I had to be Jailbroken to get that.

Windows 8 is too new, and I don't know if anyone has messed with rooting Windows 8 devices, or if anyone has developed a similar app for Windows 8. If this is for a Laptop, any laptop with a TPM module may be able to have Biometric scanners that allow you to use a fingerprint to unlock it. Lenovo has some face Scanners in their laptops, but they can be bypassed. But maybe the face Scanning software could be altered to take a pic of any unauthorized people opening your laptop.
