Whats NOT, not what's hot

There's been a lot of talk about what's new and improved in Windows 8.

What I'd really like to know, though, is what's NOT in Windows 8.

We've all been down the experiences with Windows 7 Explorer having much of it's functionality ripped out, and various other deletions from the functionality from XP and Vista, And 7 making us traditional users do things "their way". Don't get me wrong, I love windows 7, and I've found workarounds or third party programs to add back what M$ took out.

So, what is being removed in 8?

MS would be talking a lot about Win8 in CES. I bet that the keynote by Ballmer would be mainly on Win8 (with strong emphasis on tablets) and WP. I am not sure how extensive the revelations are going to be, but you will certainly hear MS's PR machine view of Win8. Now, extensive evaluations and third-party opinions will have to await until non-disclosure agreements have been terminated.
