Exiting PXE Boot - changed ACHI to IDE and now won't boot

Hi!

Last night my computer died. Bought it a few months ago and now it's not working.

The problem I got was Exiting PXE Boot ROM. I found these suggestions and followed these instructions: Message during startup: Exiting PXE Boot ROM. However, after changing from ACHI to IDE, my computer now won't start at all.

It doesn't even boot up to the boot screen. And I was wondering if there's anyway that I can still fix it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks all!
Katy

Bios needs to be reset to factory default, look at manual to see how it's done on your machine.

Problem is I can't set anything to anything. The computer won't even turn on.

However, after changing from ACHI to IDE, my computer now won't start at all.

How did you boot the PC to do the above?

If you have any warranty on the computer at all, now is the time to bring it in. All new computers will be set to AHCI, never to IDE, unless you specifically add an IDE device to the system, and then only if it is going to be the boot device.
