So I had to reset my pc to factory settings because each time I tried to turn my laptop on all I got was a black screen and reading some forums recommened to reset the pc to factory settings.

I did a whole reset, all my files were going to be deleted and I accepted it. Everything was fine until it got stuck at 77% , I started at 5:00 p.m, around 9:00 p.m it was at 77% , I was happy because it was fast but now 8:00 a.m (next day) and it is still at 77%

What can I do, should I restart by pushing the turn on/off button? How does that affect my laptop?

I am using an Asus Rog 46vw and I have it for about 7 months, regular use, gaming and surfing in the web.

Laptop specs:

i7
NVidia Geforce GTX660M with 2 gb
8gb ram
it was a really fast laptop so far

Thank you

Have you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

information   Information

We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.
