hi everyone

while using CCleaner I have found a lot of duplicate files in the file finder section.
Is it safe to delete the duplicate of these files or should I leave them alone.

If you cannot make that determination yourself, I would not trust CCleaner to make that decision for you. So, I just ran mine and I would not touch a single one of them. I believe you are only headed for trouble if you do. Good luck with your own decision.

If you look at my view, I would say that most of them are placed there by the actual installers.

I hope my advice has been adequate for your purposes.

Good luck,

If the duplicates are in the Windows, Program files or any other folders where applications are stored, or any of their subfolders, then you shouldn't even consider deleting any of them. In many cases these duplicates aren't even duplicates at all. NTFS has a feature that allows a single copy of a file to appear in multiple folders and modern versions of Windows use this feature quite a bit. If the files are are your own then only you can decide this.
