No video displayed on windows 8.1

Hello, I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB4C5E.

I updated to Windows 8.1 and since then when I try to watch videos on the windows 8 video app, only the Audio is played.

I have downloaded VLC player and the video works fine.

The same for skype, and camera no video is displayed.


My Graphics Card: ATI Radeon™ HD 5000

I've done this and it says I am using the most up to date driver?

OK then. that's it for me because I don't use Metro apps for anything. Good luck finding a solution.
