I was copying a bunch of fonts from my old hard drive in hope of restoring a font in a Photoshop project, having made a copy of the untouched fonts directory on my desktop. I thought it would be safe to delete the contents of the Fonts directory to remove the redundant files. But for some absurd unknown reason, the backup I had made was gone after completing this operation. It did not delete the fonts that were in use or the protected system fonts. But now I'm left with important fonts missing, like Consolas, which is default font for Notepad.
The restore option in the font settings does not retrieve deleted Windows fonts. I have no installation CD, as Windows 8 came pre-installed on my system, and I am not willing to wipe out my system to factory reset. So can someone who basically have a clean Fonts folder from their Windows 8 installation please upload a copy of this directory for me ?
