Please bear with me, and please help me as I am suffering severe hair loss due to this issue. Again I am the victim of the Windows 8 SRTTRAIL.TXT problem. Here is a little bit of background information for your entertainment.

My computer is a Lenovo Y400, I'm the original owner and I purchased it in January. Although it took a while for me to get used to the Windows 8 "charms" and such, it proved to be a decent operating system until around 3 months ago. I have since used the Lenovo One-Key Recovery System over 30 times to reboot and reinstall Windows entirely. I've even gone to the point of wiping out all of information and doing a full clean reinstall using this method. Lenovo did not ship a separate Windows 8 install disc or recovery disc with this package, they claim that their One-Key Recovery System will reinstall Windows 8 perfectly should the owner run into issues. I used the One-Key Recovery System to reinstall Windows and wipe my entire hard drive again just two hours ago.

I have done numerous searches on the Internet and tried numerous times to have this fixed. Although this is still under warranty, I am reaching out to see if I can get this fixed on my own before I attempt to deal with Lenovo's technical support, which is lacking as well.

The following is a copy of my current SRTTRAIL.TXT file, any help will be appreciated!

Where did you get the disc you are using to reinstall Windows 8, and if you got it from a torrent at what speed did you burn it at.

Sorry if I didn't clarify, Lenovo did not send me a recovery disc as their laptops come with a "One-Key Recovery System" which hides a certain partition of the original hard drive with Windows recovery built-in. Unfortunately even with a clean boot where it erases all previous content, I still run into this problem.

Regarding burning a uTorrent or anything like that, all of my software is all original.

Also, to explain my specific problem further, if I leave my computer unattended for a period of time the screen goes black and goes into an "automatic repair" process and then I get a blue screen that states the error is the SRTTRAIL.TXT issue. I can then manually shut down the computer, and reboot it and it will start up but the performance is extremely slow right after. Many reboots later the performance will be back to normal.
