I run the Cleartype text tuner wizard and chose a thicker text setting but it only works on IE, the rest of programs are unaffected, is there a way to make that wizard work for ALL programs
Thanks

Some, if not all browsers, have their own unique cleartype setting that may not abide by the cleartype wizard settings? Unfortunately, I cannot show you where they might be for Opera but I can give you an example of where they are in Firefox.

In summary, you may have to adjust the Opera options associated with cleartype reproduction because I can confirm they have been reset/broken via many Firefox point issue updates in the past. Good luck.

Many thanks, the setting doesn't work in Explorer or any other program besides IE, is this wizard supposed only to work for IE and not any GUI text or is something wrong here? BTW I can't find a cleartype setting in Opera :(

Thanks

Hi derek10,

My uneducated understanding is that the cleartext modifications are intended to primarily address system fonts, and since IE is considered an integral part of the system, that may be why it works so well there; however, once you get outside of the realm of the system, it appears there are other cleartype settings that may come into play (as demonstrated by my FF view). I'm also guessing that any program using embedded fonts (like a pdf reader) might have its own settings as well. Sorry I can't help you with Opera. Good luck.
